The Dean A. McGee Eye Ins is Hiring an Optician Near Oklahoma, OK

Job Duties:
  • Greet all patients in a pleasant, timely manner
  • Verify the patient’s insurance coverage and apply for any authorizations necessary
  • Answer the phone in a pleasant, timely manner
  • Check all Audix messages and return calls
  • Keep the optical shop tidy, dust the frame boards
  • Be professional in appearance and manner
  • Keep office supplies and forms stocked and order items when needed
  • Take payments when needed
  • Achieve sales goals set by the Director of Optical Services
  • Help patients select frames
  • Take all optical measurements needed to make a pair of eyeglass lenses
  • Daily inspection of jobs before they are dispensed. Look for AR, tint, scratches, and power accuracy
  • Make sure all optical tools, nose pads, screws, etc are organized and in full stock
  • Keep all cases organized and in full stock
  • Call patients to let them know glasses are ready the same day they come in
  • Empty the courier buckets as soon as they arrive and distribute appropriately
  • Make sure all payments and charges get put in Groupcast daily
  • Keep the cash box counted daily
  • Work towards ABO certification if you are not certified
  • Close Credit Card Machine daily
  • Travel to the appropriate office as assigned by the Director of Optical Services when needed
  • Any other duties as necessary

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
