Description
The DarkStar Group is seeking an Applications Tester with a TS/SCI Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in McLean, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.
THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
THE PROJECT
The Sponsor is seeking support for a joint Department of Homeland Security initiative. This program is comprised of frontend, backend, and DevOps operations that includes development of new system capabilities; extension and maintenance of bulk data pipeline; and enhancements for the program’s application hosted on multiple platforms including the Sponsor’s cloud computing environment.
THE ROLE

  • The Contractor shall support the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of complex new software products and make enhancements to existing software.
  • The Contractor shall utilize test software development methodology in an Agile environment.
  • The Contractor shall produce key test and system documentation, including the creation of simple to complex test scenarios.
  • The Contractor shall provide test support for maintenance and enhancement releases supporting existing systems and platforms.
  • The Contractor shall troubleshoot support of complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
  • The Contractor shall collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, data engineers, project managers, and other technical team members.
  • The Contractor shall provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience software testing.
  • Demonstrated experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience using JIRA to capture and document features, bugs, and system issues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Release Management Cycle.
  • Demonstrated deployment support.
  • Demonstrated skill developing test and system documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience discerning and capturing requirements from customer and technical exchange meetings.

Desired Skills (Optional)

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the technical processing of vetting requests for analytical comparison against the Sponsor’s holdings.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer processing platforms such as computers, mobile, or I.O.T and using that knowledge in a clustered computing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with the following programming languages: C, SQL, JavaScript, UNIX, Linux, or XML.
  • Demonstrated experience with the following types software testing disciplines or methods: Functional Equivalency Testing (FET); Regression; User Acceptance (UAT); Independent Verification and Validation (IV & V); Performance, Load, Stress, Automation, Backend, Functional, Accessibility, and Database.
  • Demonstrated experience with servers operating systems: Linux and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Certification(s)
    • Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification with hands-on experience facilitating and supporting Scrum events.
