The D is Hiring a CHG - Sales - Banquet Set Up Near Las Vegas, NV
Circa Hospitality Group JOB SUMMARY: The Banquet Set Up team oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including set-up, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. Banquet Set Up teams are also responsible for training and coaching of the banquet staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
Ability to communicate with Guests in a professional manner
Answers Guest questions in a manner that reflects an understanding of the department and property in general
Supervises clearing and post function cleanup and garbage removal
Coordinates with other departments to arrange for the delivery of requested services.
Reviews scheduling and labor needs to meet the guests needs as well as maximize efficiency
Assists with staff training programs
Supervises/Executes all banquet setup and dismantle
Is onsite for the duration of all banquet events
Supervises/Executes all linen orders
Available to work days, nights, and some weekends/holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidays
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with Team Members and Guests
Must be at least 21 years of age
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Convention service experience preferred
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to communicate in English
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds to be able to perform inspector and utility duties as needed
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain second hand smoke
Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position
