Job Title: Quant Developer - Electronic Trading

They are seeking a talented Quant Developer to join their Statistical Modelling and Development (SM&D) team. This team is responsible for algorithms, data science, and technology used in electronic trading activities.

Job Description:

The Quant Developer role within the SM&D team involves working on electronic trading activities, primarily focused on providing liquidity to clients on agency and principal bases. This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

1. Develop high-performance framework code to build an advanced electronic trading platform.
2. Create efficient two-way data pipelines connecting internal Trading Systems and Algo/Pricing Engines.
3. Assist in the setup of a back testing framework to evaluate algorithm and pricing engine performance.
4. Develop code for consuming and caching real-time data streams for decision-making.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

• Collaborate effectively with sales, trading desks, product teams, control functions, and IT teams to manage risk and enhance transactional efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree (Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Finance, Machine Learning/AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, or Operations Research or Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of four to five years of experience in electronic trading algorithm development across various asset classes.
• Proficiency in writing high-performance code, with expertise in Java programming.
• Strong background in handling and analyzing real-time data and large datasets.
• Basic knowledge of probability, statistics, and machine learning.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven track record of collaborating effectively within global teams.
