Role Overview: As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the high-level operational maintenance, support, and upgrades of complex operating systems, workstations, and servers. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and modernization of our IT infrastructure.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain SCI access
- Willingness to obtain CI Polygraph
- US Citizenship Required
Technology Stack Expertise:
- Linux administration: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu
- Networking protocols: HAPROXY, DNS, HTTP(S), LDAP(S), SMTP, SNMP, SSSD
- Scripting languages: Shell, Python, Ansible, RegEx
- Storage solutions: Ceph Storage, SANs
- Cloud Technologies: Openstack, Azure, AWS, VMWare
- Containerization: Docker, LXC
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and patching.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Schedule and maintain installations in line with IT policies.
- Monitor systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensure data integrity through effective software and hardware solutions.
- Plan and implement server modernization.
- Promote standard operating procedures.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Provide infrastructure support for the Open Stack environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- 5 years of related experience.
Desired Additional Skills:
- Experience with relational databases: MySQL, MariaDB, HadoopDB.
- Certifications: RHCT, RHCSA, A , Network , Security , ITIL Foundations.
