Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for students
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and physical education
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and development
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
- Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special education requirements
- Foster a love of learning and encourage student engagement through creative and interactive teaching methods
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet educational objectives
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Understanding of child development stages and the ability to tailor instruction accordingly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
