Our program director will oversee operation and ensure compliance with State of Michigan and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) rules and regulations. This includes maintaining a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children, as well as maintaining accurate records and documentation required by the state. The Program Director will also recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of qualified staff, develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, ensure health and safety standards are met, and foster positive relationships with parents and the community.
Qualifications of this role include a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, at least 3-5 years experience in a leadership role in an early childhood education setting, and a strong understanding of State of MI and LARA rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Must be able to pass fingerprint/ background check and complete relevant trainings prior to start date. Infant/Child CPR/First Aid certification required prior to start date.
Position is Mon-Fri, 6-8hrs/day
