Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential)
1. Set Quality Control Standards for products. Product quality is significant in the continuing sales success of the Company’s products. To this degree, this position is 100 percent dedicated to this goal and shares in the direct accountability for sales volume.*
2. Set Quality Control Programs for in-house production.*
3. Consult, assist and guide local Plant and Warehouse Quality Control Departments.
4. Keep management abreast of new developments in NDE methods, equipment, QA standards and programs, and make justification for advancements.*
5. Set Vendor Quality Control Policy. Supervise, assist and consult in the implementation of the Vendor Quality Control Program.
6. Consult and assist Purchasing in selection of sources of products and materials.
7. Consult and assist the Crosby Lab in the conformance testing of materials and products for in-house and outside sources.
8. Consult, direct and assist outside approving agencies in the certification of QA Plans, facilities and products.
9. Analyze reasons for product quality improvement. Consult with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, etc. in a motivating, focusing capacity to effect a solution.*
10. This position has direct responsibility for the maintenance of the quality of the company’s products available for sale. This position must communicate and influence all levels of management and direct labor in pursuit of this goal.*
11. Works with Crosby Management, Plant Management, Quality control, Product Engineering, Legal, Manufacturing, Sales, Warehousing, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing, Laboratory, Maintenance, Customers, Distributors, Vendors, Outside Legal, Testing Entities, Approving Entities, Government Agencies and Specification Writing Bodies in Quality matters.*
12. Supervisory/Managerial responsibilities include planning and delegating work assignments and special projects, determine and execute departmental functions, and training and developing of subordinates.*

Education Requirements:
Engineering degree required.
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:
Normal office conditions. Office located in a two-story office building. Job demands may require long periods of sitting, telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interaction with other people. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, driving and/or traveling.
Moderate exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
