The Craic on Main is looking for an assistant bar manager to join our team in Parkville, MO. The Craic is a small family owned business, we treat our employees like family. The Irish pub has a loyal and great customer base. We are about a 15 minute drive from downtown Kansas City area. We're a destination bar for locals and tourists visiting the charming downtown Parkville.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to oversee the operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, possess excellent leadership skills, and be able to effectively manage a team. As the assistant bar manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality, and driving overall business growth.
Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the establishment, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities
- Manage and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and support
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Monitor inventory levels and manage supply orders
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu offerings
- Maintain a positive working environment that fosters teamwork and employee morale
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a management role
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS system and other relevant software applications
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets
- Extensive experience in interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff members
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong understanding of food industry trends and customer preferences
- Culinary background or experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
