The Corvallis Clinic Asbury Building is Hiring an Unit Clerk Near Corvallis, OR

Position Details

  • Employment Status: Full-Time
  • Position Status: In Office
  • Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation: $16.80 - $21.00 per hour (depending on yearsof experience)

Summary: The Unit Clerk provides organization, scheduling,and processing of all documentation for provider practices.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Will participate and maintain a culture withinThe Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in theService and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, andembrace the principles contained within.

2. Assists with processing referrals, Rx refills,pre-authorization for medications and procedures, input of numbers ondocumentation for posting.

3. Facilitates collection of all necessaryinformation required for patient visits. General administrative functions including photocopying, faxing, andprocessing of incoming faxes.

4. Prepares documentation for next day visits.

5. Processes new patient record request forms andsends to Chart One.

6. Processes forms, i.e., CDRC, OHSU,Doernbecher, Legacy, etc.

7. Responsible for coordinating activitiesconsistent with the effective and efficient completion of drug priorauthorization requests relative to assigned clinic departments.

8. Reviews lab orders as needed per protocol, basedon PA request.

9. Plays a key role in maintaining a high levelof patient and practitioner satisfaction by providing responsive action torequests and exceptional customer service.

10. Serves as a liaison between patients,community pharmacies, and practitioners.

11. Improves the quality of care through continuingeducation. This includesattendance/participation in most in-services/department meetings and remainingcurrent on clinic/department policies and procedures.

12. Participates in the orientation and trainingof new employees.

13. Processes the MRI benefits for patients.

14. Greets patients for providers, answers the telephone, routing of calls/tasks, books appointments, verifies patient insurance coverage, acts as cashier for payments and prepares for appointments.

Education,Licensure and Experience:

1. Six (6) months experience in a medical officerequired.

2. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

3. Intermediate computer skills preferred.

Knowledgeand Skills:

1. Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff,and patients.

2. Ability to work on multiple taskssimultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality ofwork.
