Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will work closely with our bakers to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

- Assist with the preparation and production of baked goods, including measuring ingredients, mixing dough, and operating baking equipment

- Help with making a dozen plus flavors of cookie dough each week and baking the cookies for our market location and shop location

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including cleaning work surfaces, equipment, and utensils

- Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying bakers when supplies need to be replenished

- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the highest quality products

- Provide excellent customer service by answering customer inquiries and assisting with their bakery needs

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a bakery or food service environment is preferred

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
