Job Summary:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed project cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiations as needed to secure contracts.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial estimating, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar programs.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
