Job Title: Commercial Concrete Estimator
Job Type: Full-Time (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
Salary: $75,000 to $125,000 per year
Job Summary:
JRock Construction LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Concrete Estimator to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in our preconstruction phase, responsible for accurately estimating costs for construction projects. If you have a high level of competence in concrete and rebar estimation, along with strong computer skills and the ability to interpret project requirements, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for construction projects, with a focus on concrete, labor, material quantity, machine rentals, and rebar components.
- Utilize construction estimating software, such as Planswift, to generate accurate cost estimates based on project specifications and requirements.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, project dates, and commercial terms to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Meet critical deadlines and work efficiently to produce accurate budgets promptly.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to analyze project requirements, identify potential challenges, and develop comprehensive estimates.
Qualifications:
- High level of competence in commercial concrete construction and rebar estimation.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction estimating software (Planswift).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, project dates, and commercial terms.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to put in extended hours when necessary to ensure accurate budgeting and timely completion of estimating tasks.
