Overview:

Senior Store Communication Specialist

The Sr Store Communication Specialist is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of internal stores communication. This role collaborates with Store Leadership on a strategy to plan, prioritize and balance workload through the calendar year to ensure stores execute with excellence, deliver on strategic initiatives, and further deepen the customer experience. This is a full-time, salary-exempt position.

Senior Manager Retail Operations

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains high-quality, informative content in Organized Outlook that engage all levels of employees on our store teams
  • Writes and creates new product information, demonstration and event direction for Specialists that support confident selling behaviors and expertise with customers that drives results. Utilize multi-mode written, video or live meetings
  • Collaborates with vendor partners and buying team to direct and recommend on-site training to stores teams
  • Writes materials to educate Store Leadership and Support Center partners on communication practices within the Zipline platform
  • Leads monthly meetings with Store Leadership to provide timely feedback and recommendations to increase employee engagement, readership and task execution across all stores through Organized Outlook
  • Creates and writes documents, materials, communication and action plans in partnership with Store Leadership and Support Center partners; store planning calendars, agendas, events & campaigns, marketing offers, contests, product launches and company initiatives
  • Oversees the budget for store contests, meetings and training initiatives
  • Supports Store Leadership in their management of priorities to deliver on strategic initiatives
  • Supervise projects for store teams to ensure all content is publication-ready
  • Lead and develop the relationship for TCS with our Zipline vendor partner
  • Act as lead publisher, administrator and gatekeeper for the flow of all store communication through Organized Outlook (Zipline)
  • Manages Organized Outlook and is the primary point of contact for stores and Support Center partners; Library, best practices, questions, feedback, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborates with the Training team to support training projects and initiatives
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work assigned schedule
  • Maintains discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

Experience and Skills Required

  • College degree preferred
  • 2 years of retail communications experience: writing, editing, and publishing communication preferred
  • 2 years managing an LMS and/or communications platform preferred
  • Proven track record of leading, planning and managing short-term and long-term projects through completion within a retail organization
  • Strong written communication skills including knowledge of grammar usage and punctuation
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels within the organization
  • Solid time management and organizational skills, able to successfully manage multiple projects at once, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word and PowerPoint and knowledge of Publisher, Adobe and Excel
  • Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
