The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Social Worker/Psychologist to provide direct and indirect support services to students experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges that interfere with their performance at school. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with school staff, families, and community providers, and have a passion for working in an Orthodox Jewish Middle School setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students with various social, emotional, and behavioral needs

• Develop and implement social and emotional learning programs to promote positive student outcomes

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Support families in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns related to their children

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and appropriate interventions

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student services and progress

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed

• Supervise all 504 and Special Education accommodations in collaboration with the GNPS Psychologist and Special Education Teacher

• Proctor exams for students needing accommodations as needed

Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• Masters degree in social work, school counseling, psychology or related field

• A minimum of three years of social work experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
