Torah Academy of Boca Raton is seeking a capable and professional Middle School Special Ed Resource Room teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

About this position:

• Creates individualized math curriculum for students based on a psychoeducational evaluation and academic needs

• Designs and implements academic interventions using research-based methodology

• Differentiates instruction based on assessment data

• Works with teachers to modify assessments as deemed necessary 

• Collaborates with teachers to create plans for student success

• Responsible for teaching executive functioning skills to boys in Grades 6-8 and helping the boys implement them

• Communicates with school personnel and parents of children regarding all academic levels and rate of progress

• Documents interventions and progress on each child

• Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required

• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students

• Maintains a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members

• Carries out carpool duties

• Carries out lunch/recess duties 

Qualifications:

• Should have a masters level in Special Education or comparable

• 3 years or more experience preferred in special education instruction and intervention
