Position: Clinical Manager

Program: Sierra Pre-Trial

Location: New Haven

Salary: $60,000-65,000/year

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm/8:30am to 4:30pm. Must have flexibility to work alternate hours if required to meet the needs of the program. This position also has on-call responsibilities and is part of a weekend on-call rotation.

Program Summary:

During their 3-6 month length of stay in this congregate care type setting, pre-trial adult males with a primary mental health diagnosis are provided with supervision,psycho-educational and skill-building services to support them in re-entering the community after a period of incarceration. The goal is to reduce recidivism through establishing positive behavioral change and pro-social community connectivity.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Manager will receive and review referrals, coordinate admissions, and develop a plan for clinical services for all clients at the Sierra Pre Trial Mental Health Program. The Clinical Manager will work collaboratively with referring agents, funders, and community partners to support safe community re-entry plans, monitor progress, and prepare detailed reports for court and DMHAS Jail Diversion Services. The Clinical Manager provides supervision to the Case Management staff.

Working within Adult Services, the Clinical Manager works on the Residential Behavioral Health Treatment care team to support clients’ recovery from mental illness, substance use, and homelessness.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Human Services discipline (i.e. counseling, social work or related field)
• 5 years related experience
• Experience with the SPMI population in a residential setting and with individuals who are re-entering the community after a period of incarceration.
• Associate Licensure (LPC-A, LMSW, etc.)
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
• Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
