Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine office/clerical duties such as filing, coding, posting, and typing.
• May calculate deductions for group health, life, and disability insurance premiums and communicate to employees and payroll staff.
• May prepare premium reports and communicate with insurance carriers and other program vendors.
• Assist Payroll Clerk in some phases of the Payroll cycle.
• Verifies the availability of leave time for staff prior to reporting usage on payroll system.
• Distributes payroll checks to department supervisors; ensure receipts are verified.a

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
• Education and Experience:
  • Associate Degree or Bachelors in Human Resources or Accounting
  • Six months of experience in payroll preferred.
