We are looking for a culinary professional who is passionate about their work and takes pride in creating beautiful and delicious cakes for our clients! The ideal candidate will have experience decorating cakes, be creative, and have a positive attitude!

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Design and create all cakes featured and sold by the Event Sales Team for weddings, showers, special events and celebrations of all kinds.
• Create a marketing and sales portfolio and work with outside marketing team to create and develop a customer marketing and sales plan.
• Prepare, design, create, and decorate wedding and other cakes according to client and company specifications.
• Meet with clients and conduct tastings as required.
• Create and revise designs based on client feedback.
• Provide high quality customer service.
• Apply decorating techniques using frosting, flowers, sugar, gum paste, fondant, modeling chocolate, and other edible materials.
• Evaluate and test new cake decorating techniques and ingredients.
• Evaluate market trends and target offerings accordingly.
• Maintain and order required inventory.
• Attend weekly BEO meetings as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of specialty cake decorating experience.
• Must provide portfolio of experience and previous creations.
• Proven experience in a multi-task fast paced environment.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of managing and leading others.
• Able to prepare designs, presentations, and mock-ups.
• Able to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.

Physical Demands:

• Job requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Stands for extended periods of time while preparing food.

Working Conditions and Environment:

• Works a flexible schedule which includes evenings and weekends to prepare food for scheduled events.
