- Serve tables as determined by management by retrieving and delivering food and beverages in a timely manner
- Complete knowledge of hotel’s food and beverage preparation, menu, and pricing
- Interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- Clear, clean, and prepare tables
- When serving alcoholic beverages, observe guest’s behavior, count number of drinks served, and follow proper procedure if guest is impaired to drive by suggesting transportation by taxi service
- Ensure guests are satisfied during their meal service
- Other duties as assigned
Banquet Responsibilities
- Set up rooms and function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards.
- Set up table linens, skirting and tabletop items (water pitchers, glasses, etc.) as specified by group and in accordance with departmental standards.
- Refresh banquet rooms/areas.
- Breakdown function areas as scheduled in accordance to departmental procedures.
- Accommodate guest requests for additions/changes to scheduled arrangements courteously and in accordance with departmental standards.
- Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with departmental standards and function requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work and storage areas.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 6 months server/banquet experience
- Experience in hospitality preferred
- Possess basic math skills and cash-handling
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
