Food & Beverage Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and inspirational leader with a passion for developing exceptional F&B service and standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead by example and inspire the restaurant team to deliver exceptional service consistently. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure staff performance meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that members receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their dining experience. Address any member concerns or issues promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions to educate staff on service standards, menu items, and best practices. Identify training needs and opportunities for staff development to enhance performance and service quality.
  • Inventory Management: Assist leadership with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing deliveries to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth communication and collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Problem Resolution: Handle member complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner. Address any operational challenges or conflicts among staff members effectively to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Financial Management: Assist in monitoring sales, expenses, and profitability targets. Implement cost-saving measures and revenue-enhancing strategies as needed to optimize restaurant performance.
  • Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards at all times. Uphold legal regulations and industry standards related to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and motivation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, menu items, and wine selection.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in food safety and alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.
