The Club at 12 Oaks & Macgregor Downs Country Club are seeking an Aquatics Director for their locations in Cary NC and Holly Springs NC. This position will report to the General Manager of each location. The Aquatics Director will be responsible for, including but not limited to, directing, and managing all phases of the aquatics program with a strong focus on member satisfaction and revenue generation at both clubs. The Director will also be responsible for assessing, developing and implementing aquatic plans to achieve desired goals and objectives; planning, administering, and monitoring aquatics safety programs which comply with all industry regulatory agency requirements including lifeguard certifications; purchasing, monitoring and distribution of pool supplies including chemicals to maintain pools; administering emergency procedures as necessary including first aid, CPR, AED; hiring, training, developing and supervising department staff members; supervising a safe, clean, well-maintained club swimming facilities; and overseeing projects related to Cap Ex.

This is a full-time position reporting to the General Managers of the Clubs.

• Develops policies and procedures and directs and supervises aquatic programs and activities that meet the needs of the community and fulfills The Club at 12 Oaks/Macgregor objectives.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops schedules and directs staff as needed.
• Reviews, monitors, and evaluates staff performance. Sets clear goals and expectations and provide constructive feedback to each staff member on their performance.
• Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
• Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete.
• Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and The Club at 12 Oaks/Macgregor health and safety regulations
• Conducts and ensures proper maintenance of pools.
• Secures and schedules inspection for pool facilities.
• Maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance.
• Purchases equipment, parts and supplies approved by the General Manager
• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to establish systems for regularly scheduled pool inspections to ensure proper and efficient working order at all times.
• Conducts and or schedules lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to plan and manage the annual Aquatics Department budget.
• Control payroll and department purchasing costs within the budget and financial guidelines to meet fiscal objectives.
• Ensure proper implementation of aquatic schedules and procedures to provide maximum opportunities for member/staff connections.
• Collaborate with department leaders to maximize enrollments in program registration, pool usage and work effectively with all departments to achieve desired results.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

• Salary Position: $62k-67k depending on experience.

• A college degree and at least 2-3 years of supervisory and pool manager experience.
• Lifeguard certification or ability to renew or willingness to earn the certification.
• Maintains all proper certifications and training for self and aquatics staff.
• Lifeguard training and experience in aquatic management.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pool chemistry, operation, and management.
• Ability to monitor and coordinate pool safety programs and risk management.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform personal role in emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Salary Position: $62k-67k annual salary, depending on experience.
