The Classic Center is Hiring a Ticketing Services Representative Near Athens, GA

DEPARTMENT: Ticketing FLSA STATUS: Part Time, Hourly

JOB TITLE: Ticketing Services Representative

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Ticketing Services Representative is responsible for courteous, efficient and knowledgeable sales of event tickets for The Classic Center Authority. This includes event tickets for the Theatre, Classic Center Arena and any other ticketed events. Ticketing Services Representative will politely assist patrons and guests with general directions and inquires, answer phone calls and provide administrative support to Classic Center through various clerical projects. This position reports directly to the Ticketing Services Specialist and overall to the Ticketing Services Manager and Director of Ticketing.

TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Sell tickets via all ticket office channels, in a detailed, service-oriented, and efficient manner.
  2. Proficient in understanding online ticket sales on Classic Center websites and provide service for fans and patrons related to online sales or mobile tickets.
  3. Maintain expert level knowledge of all ticketed events and their respective details through provided resources.
  4. Remain well-versed in the sale and redemption of gift certificates, coupons and special paymodes.
  5. Remain informed of daily activities on Classic Center campus. Be able to answer general inquiries about event locations, times, etc. Be proactive in seeking this knowledge when you are unsure of the correct answer. Follow up with outstanding patron inquiries as immediately as possible.
  6. Assist with season ticket renewals, returns and/or exchanges and other patron inquiries.
  7. Assist with data entry and maintaining data related to season ticket renewals, group sales and other sales initiatives.
  8. Assist with equipment inventory management as directed by supervisors.
  9. Act as guest services representative in ticketing solutions role at ticketed event entry, as needed.
  10. Maintain working knowledge of ticket scanning software and equipment such as handheld scanners and pedestals. Be able to troubleshoot scanning equipment as needed during event entry.
  11. Be knowledgeable about multiple VIP opportunities for fans and patrons – Cultural Foundation, Arena premium and club seating, sponsorship, etc. and efficiently connect those patrons interested with appropriate salesperson.
  12. Always exhibit professional and positive attitude.
  13. Recognize and resolve patron concerns within Ticket Office customer service guidelines and The Classic Center Authority’s steps of service via all sales/customer service channels – phone, email, window.
  14. Learn and maintain knowledge about official ticket resale partner, SeatGeek. Able to assist patrons with basic functions such as setting up an account, listing or purchasing ticket to our events, transferring tickets, etc.
  15. Ensure ticket office workspace is clean and organized at all times.
  16. Communicate any trends in patron and fan calls and concerns to supervisors.
  17. Provide administrative support to Ticketing Department in a variety of daily activities related to events, administration, ticketing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience in retail or customer service related field.
  2. Impeccable customer service skills.
  3. Basic knowledge of ticketing preferred but not required.
  4. Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of accounting.
  5. Impeccable organizational skills.
  6. Available nights, weekends, and holidays as is typical for hospitality industry.
