The City of Independence Ohio is Hiring a Tot Room Team Member Near Independence, OH
The City of Independence is seeking a responsible, hardworking, dedicated, friendly, energetic, and fun individual with a passion for serving the community to care for youth ages 6 months to 9 years in the Civic Center "Tot" Room! Days, Hours & Additional Employment Details: The Tot Room Team Member is a permanent, part-time position, working 12 hours a week, Monday - Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM. There will be weeks periodically throughout the year where working evenings, weekends and holidays are required that may result in an adjusted schedule and/or compensatory or overtime. Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage youth ages 6 months to 9 years in a variety of activities, including games, toys, puzzles, etc.
Develop positive relationships with Tot Room children as well as their families
Ensure the cleanliness of the Tot Room, including disinfecting toys and furniture
Respond to emergency situations as necessary, including performing first aid and/or CPR
Assist the Community Services Team in executing and implementing additional programs, activities, events, and/or services
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Be intrinsically motivated to work independently while still having a team-oriented mentality
Availability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
Passion for serving the Independence community, especially youth
Represent the City of Independence in a professional manner

Education:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of group childcare experience
CPR & First-Aid Certified (Preferred)
