Pay Range: $70,855 - $92,112 annual compensation

A Computer Aided Dispatch Analyst II job is available with the City of Fort Worth Fire Department - Fire Alarm Office. The office provides 911 call taking and dispatch support services for the Fire Department and multiple suburban cities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• Four (4) years of dispatch information systems technical work experience such as hardware support, and computer aided dispatch system experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to support users with basic troubleshooting (Tier 1) desktop support.
• Experience supporting technology solutions within a Public Safety Communications Center.
• Experience with using and supporting a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System.

The Computer Aided Dispatch Analyst II job responsibilities include:

• Maintain equipment within the Communications Center, including applying windows and security patches.
• Perform technology on-boarding of Fire Dispatch; creating user accounts and setting security permissions in a variety of systems.
• Assist the CAD administrator with various CAD related maintenance duties.
• Develop training documentation for new technology efforts.
• Work closely with the Training Lieutenant and QA/QI Lieutenant on technology related issues.

Working Conditions:

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
