The City of Charleston, SC is Hiring a Customer Service Coordinator Near Charleston, SC

Summary

We are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join the City of Charleston's Budget, Finance, and Revenue Collections Department! In this role, you will perform public contact duties and provide administrative support to the department.

Examples of Duties

  • Provides assistance to office visitors, callers, and the general public regarding City processes and forms.
  • Directs customers to the appropriate point of contact.
  • Receives and distributes documents.
  • Enters application tracking information, service requests, citizen issues, and pertinent facts into electronic workflow software.
  • Assists with the production and distribution of application and service request tracking reports.
  • Performs research projects, including: data collection, analysis, information verification, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed.
  • Keeps abreast of City operational procedures, practices, processes and office locations.
  • Reads and applies various documents such as maps, procedures, processes and regulations to work situations.
  • Advises departmental personnel, citizens, and others on status of cases, and makes referrals as appropriate.
  • Monitors recurring issues and adverse trends in complaints and inquiries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field; and 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EnerGov.
