Job Summary:

Through a strong Christian worldview, the Donor Relations Representative is responsible for engaging and cultivating donors, focusing on those included in the “mid-level” donor category, to grow and strengthen their relationship with The City Mission. The Donor Relations Representative works closely with the CDO to implement the direct contact portion of the Mid-Level Donor strategy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This role does not currently supervise other staff; however, this role will supervise volunteers as applicable.
• Coaches, corrects, rewards, recognizes, and reviews volunteers in accordance with TCM’s Core Values & policies.

Essential Job Functions:

Cultivates and Evaluates Donor Relationships

• Develops a specific portfolio of active Mid-Level donors and sets and carries out strategies for cultivation and stewardship.
• Coordinates contact with new and existing donors through volunteer, staff, and others.
• Explains and provides updates on The City Mission’s programs and services, as well as answers questions from donors during personal visits, by phone and email.
• Identifies Major-Level partners and coordinates their hand-off to the appropriate Donor Relations Officer.

Maintains Accurate Donor Records

• Utilizes the database tools for reporting, segmenting donor groups, and noting communication.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of donor correspondence.

Organizes, Plans, and Meets Goals

• Works with development team to organize, assist in planning and improving the strategy, methods and execution used to strengthen donor relations, especially within the mid-level donor program.
• Shares about TCM’s mission, programs, and services via community speaking engagements.
• Plans and implements all RISE (women’s philanthropy) activities and communications.
• Assumes and achieves annual fundraising goals.
