What You Will Do:

As a Marketing Proposal Writer & Specialist, you will be an integral member of the marketing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative and creative proposals, presentations, and other materials that support winning work. You will also support the development of marketing collateral and other activities to help raise the brand profile within our target markets.

Your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Craft project pursuit deliverables including qualification statements, proposals and presentation materials by coordinating pursuit teams and writing, editing and graphic layout of the documents.
  • Develop marketing deliverables such as brochures, social/digital posts, presentations and other collateral materials to generate visibility and awareness of the company in the marketplace.
  • Maintain records of project information for use in proposals and marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate project photography and develop shot lists through communication with project team, architect and photographer.
  • Make recommendations on compelling pursuit "win" themes and marketing strategies based on knowledge and information about the region and/or prospective client.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify unique project outcomes to be utilized in marketing materials, proposals and award submissions.
  • Work to continuously improve the creativity and effectiveness of marketing services and deliverables as well as use corporate templates to ensure brand consistency.
  • Support the business development and marketing outcomes of the company through a variety of other activities, including events.
  • As needed, develop PowerPoint, leave-behind or other presentation materials for oral interviews.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the company's project portfolio and staff resources, as well as the "personality" of the region served, including interests and activities, so that proposals may effectively reflect that understanding.
  • Ensure that the corporate image graphic standards are continuously used and enhanced in the expression of newly developed materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that materials reflect current best practices for visual appeal, effectiveness, user friendliness and support of messaging.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field with a writing or marketing related focus.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years overall experience in marketing/communications, including writing and editing, development of marketing materials, marketing plan development, and/or public relations. -or-
  • Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry is strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in developing compelling and winning RFP and RFI responses and experience delivering professional grade proposals while adhering to strict deadlines.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be proficient in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and have accurate proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines, including attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective relationship building capacity with internal team members at different levels in the organization as well as external partners.
  • Confident, consultative style in expressing opinions in a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as Adobe Creative Suite.
