The Christian Village at Mt. Healthy is Hiring a Diet Technician Near Cincinnati, OH

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the provision of medical nutrition therapy and ensure the delivery of high-quality dietary services to patients.

1. Conducts Resident interviews, nutrition/hydration assessments, plans of care,

nutrition education, MDS data input, and CAA input for assigned sections of MDS

under the direction of the Registered Dietician.

2. Requests physician orders or other interventions on behalf of the Resident.

3. Participates in morning report and contributes information when appropriate

on behalf of the Resident.

4. Develops appropriate policies, procedures, and programs for nutrition services

under the direction of the Registered Dietician.

5. Performs Resident assessments that meet all requirements of the Ohio Department

of Health and other regulatory agencies.

6. Maintains and/or oversees the Tray Card system for accuracy.

7. Creates documentation in medical records that exceeds minimal requirements set

forth by the Ohio Department of Health and other regulatory agencies, under

direction of the Registered Dietician.

8. Maintains necessary files (Diet Orders, QA, In-Services, Preferences, Menus, etc.)

for appropriate length of time per state regulations.

9. Upholds and facilitates Quality Assurance Programs under direction of Registered

Dietician.

10. Conducts in-services for dietary and nursing departments.

11. Facilitates compliance by kitchen staff in implementing diets per approved diet

spreadsheets.

12. Acts as liaison between the dietary and nursing departments.

13. Actively participates in Care Conferences and other Resident meetings.

14. Attends other necessary facility meetings.

15. Maintains open communication with all staff including, but not limited to,

Administrator, Physicians, Director of Nursing, Food & Beverage Director.

16. Maintains dietary clinical policies and procedures for nursing and dietary

departments.

17. Oversees and inputs all data on weekly and monthly weights; maintains

documentation and interventions.

18. Assists Registered Dietician as needed with monthly evaluations and reports of

dietary services department that include, but are not limited to, sanitation checks,

tray line services, temperature records, and substitution log.

19. Assists kitchen staff as needed with daily operations and/or special functions at

the direction of the Registered Dietician.

20. Provides nutrition education to Residents, families, and community groups as

needed under the direction of the Registered Dietician.

21. May perform duties at other facility location as needed under the direction of the

Registered Dietician.

Position Qualifications:

1. Dietetic Technician registration in the State of Ohio.

2. Must maintain all continuing education requirements to maintain state registration.

3. Knowledge of State, Federal, and Local regulations in long-term care and Assisted

Living.

4. Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a clinical setting, preferably geriatrics.

5. Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary team to promote the goals and

objectives of the Resident, facility, dietary and nursing departments.

6. Must possess exceptional communication skills.

7. Must maintain professionalism.

8. Ability to support and maintain confidentiality in all matters.

9. Must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and organized.

10. Must consistently demonstrate and support the CORE Values: Respect, Integrity,

Teamwork, and Excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
