Infection Preventionist is responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The IP collaborates with the teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies. The IP needs to meet all regulations (TJC, OSHA, state and local health depts) relative to infection control and prevention; while maintaining current standards of infection control practices.
