Job Purpose

The Transitional/Rehabilitative Care Charge Nurse is the dedicated resource that supports, plans, leads and evaluates direct patient care activities during assigned shift. This position provides and oversees skilled nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and requires staff accountability for compliance with regulatory and professional standards for patient care and staff.

Qualifications

Essential Duties

• Supervises and supports nursing staff in provision of outstanding patient care
• Performs skilled nursing care in accordance with Nurse Practice Act
• Performs administrative duties such as recordkeeping, multi-disciplinary communication, scheduling and other necessary tasks to ensure daily operations are complete
• Coach and assist nursing staff with clinical instructions, mentor and guide as needed.
• Serve as liaison with patients’ families and patient care team to ensure quality
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Night Shift: Offer 12-hour shifts (630PM to 7AM) with rotating weekends.

Bethany Children’s Health Center is an innovative leader in the field of pediatric rehabilitation and 24-hour complex care. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for children (ages 0-21) and is the only inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma.
