General Duties and Responsibilities for Direct Care Staff are as follows:

• Constant supervision of clients, including room/safety checks during shift hours.
• Ensure client safety by following program rules and safety plans.
• Medication administration.
• Daily note-taking and other communication when necessary.
• Transportation of clients using company vehicles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
• Attend meetings and trainings when required.
• Light cleaning duties.

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License/Record Check
• Over 21 Years Old
• All applicants are required to pass a physical examination by a licensed professional.
• Must pass State trainings including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Medical Administration provided by The Children’s Home of Easton.

*If you do not have these clearances already, it will be your responsibility to obtain them prior to your first day of training. In the event you are employed with The Children’s Home of Easton for 6 consecutive months, we will reimburse you for these costs.
