Qualifications for Infant Teacher:
- Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority.
- Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- A caring individual who enjoys teaching young children.
- Able to lift to 30 pounds.
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor.
- Ability to work a shift between 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
- Reliable transportation to the Child Care center.
- Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents.
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in their care.
- Give bottles to infants as provided by parents.
- Feed infants solid foods as age-appropriate and provided by parents.
- Change diapers as needed.
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them.
- Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age-appropriate toys.
- Put infants in cribs for nap time.
- Ensure play, sleep, and changing areas are kept clean.
