We are currently looking for a Full Time Adult Specialty Services Coordinator to join our Area of Specialty Services team located at the 1300 Hoppe working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:

Oversees and supports the adult specialty services program and participants in the adult drug court (ADC). Works in an integrated manner with other specialty services programs and the specialty services director. This position is a strong supporter of recovery and restoration in practice and principle. As a representative of the Chickasaw Nation, the adult specialty services coordinator must always maintain a high degree of integrity, decorum, and respect for court personnel, law enforcement, other agencies, and the public.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a leader and primary collaborator for the adult drug court team (ADC)
  • Utilizes training, knowledge, and judgement to analyze situations and make decisions related to the ongoing needs of adult participants and families with substance use conditions, criminal justice involvement, and other co-existing challenges
  • Coordinates and collaborates with tribal court and its officers, probation officer(s) and compliance officer(s)
  • Works in collaboration with other specialty services programs and contractors for drug testing services and oversees the adult specialty services program drug testing process
  • Responds to situations immediately, independently, and subjectively to determine the proper course of action
  • Assists with establishing, promoting, and determining incentives, sanctions, and therapeutic adjustments for participants in adult drug court
  • Monitors petitions, court dates, notifications of parties, and other recommendations that impact participants
  • Works collaboratively with the adult drug court team to determine the need to seek and secure appropriate out-of-home placements, if required
  • Identifies and monitors the needs of each adult drug court participant and their family to ensure the proper services are being provided
  • Engages in routine supervision of adult drug court participants which consists of regular meetings with the participant, participant’s family, and any other key stakeholders
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the adult participant’s residence, activities, education, and employment; monitors work attendance, vocational training, school attendance; sets up and monitors community service, etc.
  • Monitors services provided such as treatment or, sanction requirements, representation, and community service needs
  • Provides testimony of the participant’s actions, in an accurate and comprehensive manner, as required
  • Provides timely reports and other written recommendations to the court
  • Develops, maintains, and submits case file data in the approved database, as required
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Shares responsibilities for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment
  • Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment
  • Observes and addresses potential environmental hazards and risks
  • Maintains and promotes professionalism
  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • May provide break coverage for others as assigned
  • May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit
  • Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

  • Must have a clear understanding of 42 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 2
  • Knowledge of the 12 core competencies associated with the National Drug Court Institute and National Association of Drug Court Professionals
  • Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and management
  • Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and management

Skills:

Essential:
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Intermediate skill using Microsoft Office for many purposes

Experience:

Essential:
  • 3 years directly related experience

Education:

Essential:
  • High School, GED or Equivalent
Nonessential:
  • Bachelors Degree in directly related field

Credentials:

  • Standard Driver's License
  • Pass general background check
