Position Summary: The Category Management Coordinator supports the Category Management team across various activities including system requests, project tracking, data analysis and other duties.
What you’ll do:- Primarily support the Category Management team with day-to-day responsibilities.
- Support the management of add to branch and new items requests across The Chefs’ Warehouse distribution footprint.
- Drive monthly market update documents to be completed and delivered to broader organization on time.
- Organize and enhance category project review presentations to leadership.
- Participate in vendor meetings, capture notes, and drive deliverables to be completed on time and within scope.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and supply chain teams on key projects.
- Manage team project tracker and ensure document is up-to-date and ready for review on a bi-weekly basis.
- Analyze data to evaluate performance of classes and sub-classes within categories.
About you:- Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university.
- Computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, JDE, etc.)
- Passion for food or culinary experience is preferable.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Self-starter, professional, goal oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
- Must have a sense of urgency and be able to work under pressure, be comfortable in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Flexible with the ability to work well with all departments and levels of staff both internally & externally.
- Professional demeanor during all interactions with vendors, customers and fellow employees via phone or in-person
