Responsibilities

  • You will join a small, growing team of Program Configuration Managers responsible for formal Configuration/Change Management (CM) activities on various Draper research, development, and production programs with prominent customers such as the Navy, Air Force, NASA, commercial, bio-medical, and others.
  • You will apply your prior experience towards developing, documenting, and executing a new, modernized strategy for conducting formal Configuration/Change Management activities in a Model-Based Systems Engineering environment for a program concerned with redesigning and producing a significant Government guidance system asset.
  • You will research and recommend a suitable commercial CM/PLM software tool, leveraging to the extent necessary the features of Draper’s existing infrastructure consisting of Dassault Systèmes Enovia 3D Experience and various other business enterprise tools.
  • You will interface with internal staff from Design Engineering, Digital Engineering, Production, Mission Assurance, and Programs, as well as with customer staff and subcontractors in the planning and execution of the CM function.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in an engineering, math, science, or technology discipline
  • At least 8 years of relevant military/commercial CM experience in a design engineering and manufacturing setting
  • Strong familiarity with military/commercial CM and documentation-related specifications and standards (such as ANSI/EIA-649, ASME/Y14, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-961, etc.) and the ability to properly interpret and apply them
  • Experience planning, documenting, and executing CM functions and processes as applied to documentation work products, electro-mechanical design work products, and software work products
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering and Model-Based Design
  • Working experience in a CM context with one or more commercial Product Lifecycle Management tools such as offerings by Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, Parametric Technology, etc.
  • Experience being audited for compliance to CM requirements
  • Strong ability to interact purposefully and resolutely with engineers, task leaders, technical directors, program managers, subcontractors, and customer representatives
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management requirements
  • Familiarity with project management techniques
  • Familiarity with database/web technology
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office applications suite
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with Dassault Systèmes Enovia 3D Experience PLM tool
  • A Certification from the Institute of Configuration Management
  • Familiarity with AS9100 requirements

Security Requirement

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. security clearance
