Job Summary: This role will provide critical infrastructure that enables the Legal Department to support Chamberlain Group’s continued growth and success. The Lead, Legal Operations will play a pivotal role in the establishment of a legal operations subfunction within the Legal Department. This role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing processes, technologies, and strategies to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and overall performance of the legal department. You will collaborate closely with other members of the legal department, cross-functional stakeholders, and external vendors to drive effective legal operations. You will use your broad understanding of in-house legal department practices and customer service orientation to handle sensitive, confidential discussions with team members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study 5 years of relevant experience in project management, operations (general and legal), tech operations, solutions management, and tech program management in-house and at a law firm Experience working with cloud-based and on-prem legal technology (e.g., legal ops, deal management, rights management, e-billing, contract and document management, self-service contracting, e-signature, knowledge management, etc.) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of legal department operations, processes, and technologies, including AI applications Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects along with ad hoc requests/initiatives Highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, efficient, and resourceful with exceptional follow-through skills Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Project Management or equivalent certifications Prior experience with LinkSquares contract lifecycle management platform Job Duties & Responsibilities: Develop full-scale Legal Operations strategy project plans, including coordination of project team, project budget, and schedule/timelines to achieve functional and Business Unit objectives Partner with key functional leaders to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and drive the use of technology and automation Develop, implement, and maintain processes around contract review and resolution of other legal services requests Evaluate, select, and implement legal technology solutions that enhance efficiency and enable better data-driven decision-making Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the legal department and develop reporting mechanisms to track and communicate performance against these metrics Deploy your project and program management experience to engage cross-functional teammates or third-party vendors to achieve desired business outcomes Prioritize and track the status of projects, tasks, and timelines for deliverables and monitor day-to-day activities of the project team and ensure work is progressing as planned; regularly schedule status meetings and report progress to all stakeholders Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during process improvements, technology implementations, and organizational changes Build and maintain knowledge of critical legal systems and related workflows This role may also include evaluation, testing, training, implementation, and support for new and existing technology solutions #LI-1SD #LI-Hybrid Chamberlain Group wants all of its employees to succeed and encourages people of all backgrounds to apply.
