We have a job opening and are in search of a new team member! Our purpose at Cleveland Christian Home is to provide a safe and supportive environment for children, youth, and families who are facing mental illness, abuse, and neglect.

We are currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team at the Lorain Ave. Facility. We currently have weekend shifts available,

* Part Time Sat/Sun 7a-7p

* Part Time Sat/Sun 7p-7a.

Summary: The facility nurse provides medical and health services to children served at the Cleveland Christian Home.

Minimum Qualification:

* A minimum of an associate degree in nursing; or a bachelor's degree in nursing

* A minimum of two (2) years' experience in pediatric and/or public health nursing; or

* Licensed by the State of Ohio Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse (RN)

* An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Essential Functions:

* Identifies and treats health disorders and provides medical and health care services that include;

* Physical health assessments

* Well-child care

* Supervision of medication

* Responding to physician's orders

* Medication education to clients and their families (caregivers)

* Dispensing or administering medication, assisting with self-administration of medication

* Monitoring for side effects and adverse reactions

* First aid care

* Providing other medical interventions, as needed.

* Ensures the maintenance of all medical/dental records; ensures accurate, appropriate, and confidential department record-keeping.

* Records immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data

* Schedules medical/dental appointments and transports children as needed.

* Obtains medication approval; orders medication and medical supplies, as directed.

* Serves as a resource person on health issues.

* Instruct residents in health education as necessary.

* Provides training to agency staff on universal precautions and communicable diseases.

* Provides staff training on dispensing medications.

* Attends clinical and treatment team meetings.
