The Position : Emergency Preparedness Training & Exercise Coordinator

Location : Cleveland, Oh

Are you passionate about ensuring communities are prepared for emergencies? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the pivotal role of Emergency Preparedness Training and Exercise Coordinator.

In this role, you'll orchestrate the development, implementation, and evaluation of training and exercise initiatives crucial to regional emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Planning & Documentation Management : Collaborate with HCC staff and partners to establish and document training and exercise goals aligned with grant deliverables and coalition objectives, ensuring compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Program Support : Represent the coalition on committees, fostering collaborative relationships, and providing administrative support to healthcare committees, ensuring effective communication.
  • Training Coordination & Reporting : Identify and develop tailored training opportunities, maintain accurate records for reporting, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement : Stay informed of updates to emergency preparedness programming, seeking opportunities to enhance capabilities within the region.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Project Management & Emergency Preparedness : Proficient in project management methodologies with demonstrated expertise in training and exercise development and implementation.
  • Communication & Adaptability : Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Computer Skills : Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and documentation management systems.
  • Experience : 3-5 years in a preparedness training / exercise role, with an Associate's Degree in a related field. Additional certifications such as HSEEP desirable.
