The Center for Discovery is Hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) Near Harris, NY

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional ensures the safety and well–being of each individual assigned to his/her care. This position is responsible to be a support and resource that ensures consistent carryover and monitoring of programming to all staff working with residents in both the classroom/day program and residential setting. The QIDP will also assist in the training of direct care staff and will serve as a communication liaison between the Day Program, Program Educator, direct care staff and residents. This position ensures compliance with Federal, State and The Center for Discovery policies and procedures.
Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field (including those that qualify the employee to be a QIDP per regulation) and a minimum of one year’s experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
