The Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg is Hiring a Part-Time Music Teacher Near Port Richey, FL

Bishop Larkin Catholic School is seeking a Part-Time inspiring music educator for the 2024-2025 school year to teach preschool through eighth-grade students and assist the school in the improvement and appreciation of music instruction.

The ideal candidate will be able to create a flexible music program that helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, moving to music, playing of instruments and listening. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to plan lessons for students to acquire the knowledge needed to provide a solid musical foundation in accordance with each pupil’s ability; to establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members; to fully integrate the Catholic faith into the school's music program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification or eligible for certification by the Florida State Department of Education (Letter of Eligibility, or current application, with FL DOE ID required) 
  • Expert in the field
  • Passionate about teaching children in a faith-based community

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level II background screening and Safe Environment Training.
