The Carter Treatment Center is Hiring a Clinical Director Near Jefferson, GA

The Carter Treatment Center (TCTC) is an evidence-based, client-centered treatment program that provides Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment services for substance use disorders in a warm and welcoming environment with professional and caring staff. The Carter Treatment Center is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Director for our new location in Jefferson, GA. The Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects of the program, including the treatment services provided to clients and the supervision of all clinicians, and ensuring the program maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as accreditation standards. As the Clinical Director at The Carter Treatment Center – Jefferson, you will work with a supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary treatment team that are all focused on TCTC’s mission to provide education, therapy, support, and community resources to enable individuals to achieve their full potential.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ongoing and day-to-day clinical aspects of the program and the treatment services provided to clients
  • Develop and implement program curriculum for substance abuse treatment
  • Provide ongoing supervision and training for all direct contact staff and clinicians, monitor training records and ensure training for staff meets requirements
  • Adhere, monitor, and enforce staff compliance to agency policies and procedures, the requirements/standards for all funding/credentialing bodies (including, but not limited to: DCH, CARF, DBHDD, third party payers), and state and federal regulations (including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2)
  • Complete all required compliance activities and reports when scheduled
  • Ensure client census is updated and accurate
  • Address all client grievances in a timely manner
  • Utilize behavior management interventions with clients, implementing and enforcing recovery contracts with clients when necessary
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, which includes providing crisis intervention in accordance with program procedures
  • Perform chart audits/quality reviews of client charts, provide clinical guidance, and ensure timely and quality completion of documentation
  • Complete medical records requests
  • Conduct weekly treatment team meetings, quarterly management meetings, and any other meetings needed for the agency
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement new programming or changes in current program standards
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and managing staff under direct supervision; additionally, must ensure all clinicians have the licensure and/or certification necessary to perform the duties of their specific job role
  • Coordinate scheduling of clinical staff and approve/deny time off requests, ensuring adequate clinical staff coverage for service provision
  • Conduct performance evaluations of program staff according to agency policies and procedures
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and orientation with new clients, maintain an individual caseload of clients, and facilitate intensive outpatient group therapy with clients, when needed
  • Review and sign off on all treatment plans and any other clinical documentation as required
  • Complete breathalyzers with clients and assist in the collection of urine drug screens, as needed
  • Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies, engage in community outreach and represent the program at community functions
  • Participate in the completion of insurance utilization reviews including providing documentation and engaging in peer-to-peer reviews as necessary
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED: Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work. Must be independently licensed as a LPC or LCSW to provide therapeutic services in the state of Georgia
  • Previous experience in addiction or mental health counseling, or other related field required
  • Previous leadership and supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in work with clients, staff, outside treatment providers, and community resources
  • Excellent time management skills, extremely organized and detail-oriented, able to analyze and prioritize tasks with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Competent in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office and EMR Systems
  • Ability to reliably commute to Jefferson, GA daily
