Program Monitor Responsibilities
We seek meticulous and detail-oriented Program Monitors to manage a diverse portfolio of community-based organizations, serving as their point of contact for grant compliance and direction. They will work closely with organizations to ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements, including technical assistance with financial and program performance reports, site visits, auditing organization records, responding to grantee requests, compiling reports, assisting with capacity building support for assigned organizations and any other administrative tasks related to management of grant programs. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, fulfilment of contractual reporting obligations, and maintenance of the highest standards of transparency and accountability for Foundation grantees.
This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
· Assist with implementation of robust monitoring, audit and compliance procedures to ensure that all grantees adhere to the terms and conditions of their grant contracts
· Collect, analyze, compile and interpret quantitative and qualitative data relating to grant programs and grantee performance
· Serve as liaison between grantees and the Foundation, ensuring timely follow up on correspondence and provide guidance and support to grantees on reporting requirements, templates and deadlines
· Coordinate the collection and review of grantee reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
· Analyze grant reports to assess program impact and compliance with grant objectives
· Develop and implement robust compliance procedures to ensure that all grantees adhere to the terms and conditions of their grants
· Maintain a variety of automated and manual logs, records, and files, including indexing and other general, administrative/clerical work
· Provide personalized support and guidance to grantees to help them navigate compliance challenges and optimize grant performance
· Foster a culture of compliance and accountability among grantees through proactive communication and engagement
Skills/Knowledge Required
· 1-3 years of experience managing multiple grantee organizations or agency partners, ensuring their compliance with program guidelines, especially for nonprofit or public agencies
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a comparable combination of formal education and directly related work experience
· Project and fiscal compliance management experience preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email and calendar), Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
· Understands contract administration as it applies to grant funding
· Effective English language communication skills, both verbal and written – including grammar, punctuation and proofreading
· Can produce written documents, charts, spreadsheets and visuals with large amounts of clearly organized information
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision while remaining flexible to respond to and manage the unexpected
· Ability to track, plan toward and meet deadlines
· Demonstrated loyalty and commitment to Congresswoman Carrie P. Meek’s vision for civically engaged, well-resourced and resilient communities, and strong alignment to transformational change, resident engagement, community-centered responsiveness, collaboration, adaptability and bold leadership
Annual Compensation
$45,000 – $60,000 commensurate with experience
Hours and Location
This is a full-time, mostly in-person position from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Foundation is a job-based employer and not limited to these specific days and times. You will also be expected, as needed, to be available to work evenings and weekends.
