Staff Development Coordinator – RN – Registered Nurse

We are seeking to fill the position of Staff Development Coordinator – RN – Registered Nurse

Staff Development Coordinator - RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications: 

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse - RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 3 years in Long-Term care and 1 year in nursing supervision.
  • Current BLS certification.

Staff Development Coordinator - RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary:

  • Plans, implements, directs, and evaluates the education program based on resident and staff needs, regulations.
  • Coordinates an effective general orientation program for new staff and plan other programs as needed.
  • Plans and publishes a monthly in-service calendar for all mandatory in-service staff trainings.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates the Mt. Carmel Care Center infection prevention program.
  • Develops an annual surveillance plan based on the population served, services provided, and analysis of the surveillance data.
  • Arranges opportunities for meaningful education programs and staff trainings during the year.
  • Conducts an annual competency skills evaluation of nurses in preparation for their performance evaluation.
  • Acts as the liaison between the nursing instructors and students affiliating at the facility.
  • Compiles necessary reports for DPH and other regulatory agencies as required.
