Senior Analyst

CARIAN is growing! We are a proud, woman-owned management consulting firm providing program/project management, capital project delivery, consulting, and technology solutions to our customers in the renewable energy, power utilities, infrastructure, and transit/transportation sectors.

We are searching for a Senior Analyst to support our client in the Greater New York City area. The Senior Analyst will be expected to work as part of the Project Management Office (PMO) and support project delivery improvement initiatives and provide project control support services to other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Provide project plan trend analysis and control including analysis, research, development, and maintenance of the project data.
• Thorough knowledge of project control concepts, processes and procedures including project cost control and reporting, project scheduling, project performance reporting, development of project work breakdown structures and reporting on project variances from approved plan.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively, utilizing limited resources to achieve complex goals.
• Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, and
• managing projects and resources, including monitoring costs, work and contractor performance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of capital planning and assessment, cost-benefit analysis, planning and evaluation, and risk management protocols.
• Proven skills at effective communication both at the interpersonal and group level.
• Proven ability to work effectively within groups and to complete assigned tasks independently.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
• Serve as PMO point of contact to manage centralized Project Authorization, Planning Authorization and Contract Authorization information in ICMS (integrated Contract Management System).

Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering, accounting, economic or business administration discipline or a Project Management Professional certification along with a technical degree.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience as Senior Analyst.
• Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products, excellent in excel report skills, Primavera schedule software (P6) and ability to become competent with Port Authority software and reporting systems.

This position is hybrid and will work on our client site in the NYC area 2-3 days a week.
