The Cardiovascular Center of Florida (CVCFL), a new network of clinics, currently with
Twenty-seven of the most renowned cardiovascular specialists in Central Florida. Our goal is to provide the best cardiovascular care available throughout Greater Orlando.

The physicians at CVCFL are nationally recognized and the most experienced cardiovascular specialists in the region with an average of 20 years of experience each and approximately 50,000 active patients in total. The Center’s most senior physicians have been practicing in Orlando since 1990 and were at the forefront of bringing modern cardiovascular services, emerging technologies, and advanced therapies to the region.

CVCFL has opened eight locations, including their main campus in Downtown Orlando, plus seven other offices located in Clermont, Kissimmee, Lake Mary, East Orlando, Lake Holden, Sand Lake and Windermere. Two more locations are coming soon in Clermont and Lake Nona.

**Job Summary:**

Cardiology practice looking for motivated Cardiac EKG/Stress Test Technologist who will be responsible for assisting our nuclear technologist in cardiac stress testing.

Must be able to hook up and monitor 12 lead EKGs; assess patient’s blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and lung sounds; establish peripheral intravenous (IV) access; and maintain written and computer-based patient records with accuracy.

Must be a graduate of an approved school and must have American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) certification and ACLS.

Bilingual in Spanish a strong plus. Top candidates will be outgoing, positive, and be able to work as part of a team. We are looking for candidates with at least one year of Cardiovascular Lab or cardiac-related experience, ideally, EMT, paramedic, cardio tech certification, or MA with experience working in Nuclear Cardiology.

**Duties:**

*Perform treadmill and chemical stress testing in the Nuclear Medicine Department and analyze the resulting patient data.

*Measure blood pressure, oxygen usage, heart rhythm, and other key patient health indicators.

*Able to identify potential cardiac related symptomatology.

*Responsible for correct anatomical positioning and technical factor selection for prescribed exam.

*Able to identify EKG abnormalities.

*Administer necessary medications or agents per protocol.

*Responds immediately to all Code calls for technician support.

*Prepares EKGs and procedure reports for physician interpretation. Files and distributes interpreted reports and EKGs appropriately. This includes acquiring and presenting any previous studies.

*Perform pre-exam duties which include verifying/clarifying physician's orders, verifying patient identification, obtaining history, documenting allergies, explaining procedure and obtaining all appropriate signed consents.

*Perform post-exam duties, which includes explaining and documenting any instructions needed for follow-up exam.

*Accurately complete all associated documentation required for billing purposes.

*Responsible for and performs diagnostic imaging procedures as prescribed by a licensed physician in accordance with the policies and standards of Intercoastal Medical Group.

Requirements:

*Current ACSM Exercise Physiologist Certification OR

*Current EMT-Paramedic Licensure OR

*Current FL RN Licensure OR

*Current Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)

*Current CPR Certification

*Current Cardiac Experience

*Basic HIPAA Knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
