Major Duties

Under the general supervision of the Director of Web and Technology Services, and at the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Senior Coordinator for Student Affairs Assessment, Evaluation and Planning is responsible for the day-to-day administration of assessment and evaluation activities. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities around assessment and evaluation services, and program review for the division of Student Affairs.

  • Serves as the assessment and evaluation expert for the division of Student Affairs and collaborates with Student Affairs senior leadership, department directors, as well as key campus partners, and peers.
  • Proposes plans and strategies for the continued development and implementation of the division’s annual planning and reporting processes.
  • Oversees the production and communication of the division’s annual report in a manner that speaks to and reflects the division’s alignment with the university’s Roadmap and other priorities and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field required. Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, statistics, data analysis, or related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent to five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible relevant experience, including experience utilizing data/evidence in support of student learning outcomes assessment and evaluation activities in co-curricular and/or academic support programs.
  • Oversight and administration of a program with supervision and/or lead experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty, and operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Familiarity with software and tools common to large-scale data collection, assessment and evaluation, statistical analysis, and data visualization: Qualtrics, SPSS, R, Excel, Tableau, D3, Plotly, etc. Practical working knowledge of databases, data warehousing and associated tools a plus. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education as applicable to areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to: analyze problems and propose effective solutions; understand functional/operational requirements; relate solutions to departmental management and staff; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; develop and make presentations, documentation and training materials; conduct meetings; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; work in a diverse environment.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
  • Classification: Admin Analyst/Spclst / 1038 / grade 3
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $5273 - $7083 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $5273 - $9537 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
  • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. 
  • The position is currently hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
