Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

The Cadmus Group seeks a hard-working, creative consultant to deliver projects in our Sustainability & Resilience Practice. Sustainability and Resilience directly supports government, corporate, and non-profit organizations seeking to achieve climate, energy, and sustainability goals and enhance their overall resilience. Research analysts within the Sustainability and Resilience team have varied analytic responsibilities, including research and writing; qualitative and quantitative analysis; policy review and development; data visualization; stakeholder engagement; and interfacing with clients. Research analysts support a variety of projects and tasks across climate, energy, and environment domains; for this position we are seeking someone to primarily support sustainable transportation projects. The successful candidate will have experience and interest in the field of sustainable transportation and strong analytical and writing abilities.

The Sustainable Transportation Research Analyst will lead policy research, qualitative and quantitative market research, evaluation, and other technical assistance related to electric vehicle and hydrogen planning and analysis. The candidate will also have the opportunity to collaborate on a diversity of projects across the Cadmus Sustainability and Resilience Practice.

Your knowledge of working with people, building relationships, and clearly communicating details will speak to your ability to support your team in delivering interesting and industry-changing projects. Responsibilities

  • Support several projects primarily involving electric vehicles, hydrogen, and/or transportation decarbonization and resiliency.
  • Conduct research and analysis across a range of transportation projects, programs, and policies focused on electric vehicles and associated technologies, as well as other relevant sectors.
  • Support financial modeling and analysis of transportation and energy sector programs and projects.
  • Assess transportation and energy sector policies at the federal, state and local level.
  • Support transportation and energy sector market analysis.
  • Support the development of strategic roadmaps and plans, guidance documents, fact sheets and other materials on behalf of clients for public distribution though analysis, research and writing.
  • Present a professional, team-oriented demeanor and foster successful, productive, and sustained client relationships.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in transportation studies, urban planning, automotive engineering, civil engineering, economics, statistics, public policy, or related area.
  • A deep interest or experience in alternative fuels, sustainable transportation, transit, micromobility, aviation, or data analytics.
  • Interest in broader sustainability, resiliency, decarbonization planning and equity and environmental justice issues.
  • Excellent writing skills, particularly for communicating complex, technical material in a clear, succinct, readable manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable driven workplace.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent oral communication skills are required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and good understanding of other standard office software applications.
  • Candidates should be able to obtain a Public Trust, Suitability, or Security Clearance - requires US Citizenship.
  • Experience with quantitative data collection and analysis methods and tools (e.g., emissions analysis, financial analysis, spatial analysis, survey design, telematics, statistical analysis, dashboard development, regression modeling, etc_).

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $52,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
