Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for oil changes, tire rotations, maintaining shop cleanliness, etc. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and engine diagnostics
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Technician or similar role in an automotive dealership or repair shop
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures.
- Proficient in using power tools and equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
