The Brook Retirement Communities - Assisted and Independent Living is Hiring a Culinary Specialist Near Houghton, MI

The Brook of HOUGHTON LAKE/Good Living Kitchens has an excellent opportunity for a part time Culinary Specialist at our independent and assisted living community.

The purpose of this position is to prepare and provide quality home cooked meals to residents in a cost-effective, efficient manner. Cooking experience for large groups is a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares meals and ensures that all food served is done so in a safe and quality manner.
  • Keeps the kitchen clean and notifies maintenance department when equipment needs service.
  • Assists in serving meals to the residents.
  • Responsible for dining room and kitchen clean up after meals.
  • Ensures that proper documentation is completed for each resident taking a meal.
  • Greets and socializes with residents appropriately to ensure that their dining experience is pleasant.
  • Performs all tasks in a manner which is safe and in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
